I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. This is my first camera, and I was wondering how I would take a timed photo. Like if I were taking a family picture and I wanted to be included, how could I set the camera to snap maybe 10-20 seconds later?

you see the button that is second from the top of the viewing screen on the right? it is a round button that has 2-3 symbols to represent it. most likely, if you push it twice, it will have the option of a timer (the timer looks like an upside down Q) and will have a number by it. once you get the right seconds, line up your camera to your family and push the capture button. most of the time, there will be a light indicator that will count down the seconds for you. run into the picture and say CHEESE! i put a diagram on the sources....check it out it may give you a visual. i even put instructions on it =]

good luck!
