What's the worse thing that could happen? Get shot and go to heaven? Sounds terrible.

Thanks for the answer godshew, but could we keep it under 100 words next time. God blessed me with a.d.d., and perhaps a touch of narcolepsy.

before everything, bible boys of at a loss for words innovations, it relatively is undeniable and straightforward; the Pope is a marked guy and he's marked via a similar people who attacked u.s.. as a great way simply by fact the international is in contact, his dying won't help or harm historic previous. The Catholics have self belief the Pope is as close to to God as all people can obtainable be. So, he rides around in the bullet evidence motor vehicle. stable Q stable good fortune

Fear, of death; Neither of which are Godly qualities.
God cannot die is perfect love void of such law law.
Better yet, why did the previous pope: John-Paul II say in 1999: "the long tradition of sacrifice must continue in the third millennium" when God says "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice" and the third day is not a millennium, but the last (eternal) day.
For the third day is the seventh day when counting the days in John 1 & 2:1. Which things are an allegory.

So it's not time past nor last days(plural) any more, now the last day. What remaineth is whether it will be "the day of the LORD" or "the day of God", which is to allegory say the light of the LAW or the light of Grace. Hint: Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD...the day of the LORD is darkness, not light: Amos.

As Bishop Spong aptly says: Perhaps the current pope should realize that returning to the middle ages is intellectual suicide.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

First of all, bible boys of confused thoughts, it is plain and simple; the Pope is a marked man and he is marked by the same people who attacked America. As far as the world is concerned, his death will not help or hurt history. The Catholics believe the Pope is as near to God as anyone can possible be. So, he rides around in the bullet proof vehicle.
Good Q
Good luck

The Pope-mobile was bulletproofed after Pope John Paul II got shot in the 1980's. The mere idea of, "If I get shot, oh well, I'll just go to heaven" is ridicules.

Actually, the curent Pope does not use that vehicle from what I read. The predecessor, John Paul II, of course was shot and the bullet just missed his heart. But maybe if you knew people were going to shoot at you, would you not take precautions?

Electing a new one is such an expensive and inconvenient business that the money and time saved by keeping the current one alive as long as possible far outweighs the expense of the car.

Matthew 4:5-7 states:
Then the devil took him to the holy city, and made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you and 'with their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"
Jesus answered him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'"
The Pope likewise uses his God-given common sense and does not put God to the test.
With love in Christ.
