Why is it that Jesus Christ is the one person born into this world by whom we determine earth's history?

History is calculated from the time of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem. How come? Something to think about, isn't it?

When Christianity conquered Rome, the Pope set a time line.
The time before the Messiah, and the time after the Messiah.
It was also based on prophecies from Hebrew Prophets.

This is true because of the immense political power religion held, particularly in the ancient world. Religion was the way that kingdoms claimed power and got people to behave the way they wanted to--and Christianity worked very well. When the largest empire's leader converted to Christianity (it was most likely pure politics, in truth--the battle between Christians and others were tearing the city he lived in apart and he needed to choose sides), the entire system of things changed. Thus, the calendar switch.

Remember, even if a large number of people believe in something it is not necessarily true. If it were, Christians (who are approximately one-third of the world's population) must be wrong--they are outnumbered by the rest of the world's non-Christians.

It's not. There have been many attempts to 'restart' the calender. Some French revolutionaries wanted Bastille Day to be the new Year One. The Bolsheviks wanted the same for the October Revolution, and Pol Pot wanted it for the year of his birth.

The Jewish calender goes from the (supposed) year of creation, and the Muslim calender goes from Mohammed's birth (I think). Buddhists and Hindus have their own calender.

The Christian calender is usually adopted worldwide for the same reason English is - it's more convenient.

believe me when the current fad runs out, there will be a different telling of history. history is changed to suit whom is in power at that time.

HIstory is caluclated before Christ and After Christ because ,Christ fulfilled the history and The Bible and so on.
