I don't think it's a matter of enjoying it, per se, but rather of feeling safe and comfortable in its familiarity. If a person has been depressed for many years, for example, then there is a certain level of contentment (not the same as enjoying it) to be had in knowing that things are as they have always been.

It's rather like people in abusive relationships who know the relationship is bad for them but they "can't" leave it - part of the human psyche is whispering in the back of their subconscious mind that at least if they stay where they are right now they're with someone and they know what to expect and it can't really get any worse. Why does it do that? Because the human animal fears change, change means that there are unknown variables, unquantifiable actions and reactions and yes even feelings, and that's enough to overload some minds with an intense fear response that will keep them right where they are despite having the good sense to know that where they are is a 'bad' place.

So do any of us really enjoy being depressed? I don't think so, I think we just have a very difficult time letting go of that feeling of safety, of 'knowledge', the comfort of familiarity.

certainly, that's a very sturdy concepts-set as long as you're pleased with it. there are a great number of fellows accessible that concentration on their careers first, and girls 2d, because of the fact many human beings know that ladies have an interest in fulfillment and money, so as quickly as to procure that, the girls will come (actually and figuratively). It in all probability isn't till your mid to overdue 1920s once you will come across a sturdy woman, yet once you're affected person, it is going to repay.

I'm sick of it, if I wouldn't have made the mistakes I've made and been a little more success then I wouldn't mind being depressed.

I use to because it was all that I knew. It was my comfort zone. Now that I have experienced happiness I don't want it to take me back. I refuse.
