What can this bump on the back of the ear?

My husband has a very large bump on the back of his ear. and it keeps getting bigger. it hurts to but his head down or to even touch it. What can it be?

a pimple gone infected is what i think. eventually it will burst and leave a scar if your not careful. i used to get them all the time and believe me the hurt and weep fluid after awhile but can scar if not taken care of

any bump that you get and continues to grow over time should be a big sign to consult your doctor
