i'm 27 and my last baby tooth (bottom jaw incisor) finally came off 3 days ago after being loosened up more and more as the years went by. i think i might have a permanent tooth growing b/c i see a whitish mark on the gum underneath the space. i know i need an x-ray (and i'll get to that) but do you think this is a sign of a permanent tooth growing? any other signs that i may encounter would be appreciated. thank you!

A baby tooth lost at 27? Either there is not a permanent tooth below this and the white space is the tissue healing(think like a scar on your skin). Or there is a permanent tooth and it is ankylosed(fused to the bone). Either way, time to see a dentist becuase it is unlikely a permanent tooth is going to show up.
