Most guys in Jamaica doesn't know the meaning of "Valentine Day", more over they don't know the meaning of anything. The time you need them the most they are no where to be found. On special days like valentine day, they sleep all day or drink and get druck with their friends. They will give you every thing you want at the beinging of the relationship.

If your boyfriend is like that now, i can only imagine how he will be in the future. I would talk to him and let him know what i feel. if that doesn't help drop him. you deserve way more than that. you want some one to make you feel like you are the queen of the world. don't let any jerk make you feel less than that. It seems that he's not making you a priority. Maybe talk to him about it? Tell him how you feel and how you really don't think he cares about you anymore..or that hes not putting enough effort like he used to. If he stays the same..drop him. You deserve better, everyone does.
I think this happens to alot of girls mostly because the guy believes that once he's got you..he doesnt have to try anymore. At first he had to romance you, and try extra hard to impress you to show you how he feels so that you'd get with him..but now since he has you..he's like. Ok. whats the point? Why am I gonna go the extra mile, if I already have her with me.

Sorry about your situation. You say most guys so maybe it's a cultural thing. But then, with many guys, when they get what they want they don't want it anymore. If you have a boyfriend and he's like that with you keep your legs crossed. See how fast he'll change. But. I'll tell you, he'll only change until he gets what he wants. This will become a vicious circle. When he doesn't get he'll give you attention until he gets. then he'll hang out with the guys until you give it to him again.

Have you ever tried giving anything back? If you are nice to him, all the time, he won't forget holidays and "specail" day. Or maybe, he doesn't celebrate Vday.
So, if you want him to contunie to give "you everything you want" you need to give him, everything he wants. Only fair, right?

I don't know about guys in Jamaica,but I've many guys like the ones you describe. . .who'll give you everything and then suddenly stop being romantic and affectionate at all. . .I don't like guys who behave like doggies either. . .I'd rather date a normal one.
