I'd just throw the jar away and go to your doctor and tell them about the salmonella. If you really wanted to, you could return the jar for a new one since they are doing recalls, but I'd just make sure you aren't harboring the virus or something

They say to save the lid and send it to the company for a refund. However, if you really think that it was tainted peanut butter, you should call the company and ask them what to do. They might want some of the actual peanut butter to confirm the bacteria.
If you have a reciept from your doctor visit, make a copy and send it in as well.

Throw away the jar but keep the lid and send it back to the company for a full refund. I got sick form it as well as 5 of my children. Three of them are OK but two of them are still sick with it. Thankfully it hasn't gotten so bad for them to be hospitalized but they are miserable!! :(

Do not throw the jar away. That is your only proof that it is the peanutbutter that made you sick. The Peter Pan company would love for you to destroy the only thing that would prove that they made you sick. Go to a doctor and have a check up .

My 6 year old son has been sick for the past two months, doctor twice and emergency room once, never even thought to be checked out for this, we are from rockwall, I am having this tested and my son also, at least make them pay for your expenses and missed work . We are, this is very discusting sickness and very costly and painful for whomever has this!

No, I would contact Peter Pan (you know who I mean) and advise them that you did get ill from their product and had to seek the attention of a physician. They should offer to pay the bill and replace the product at the very least.
