Ok, my son will be 2 in a couple of weeks and #2 is due to arrive mid july. I am trying to find a practical stroller for two. i could go to Epinions.com but i trust the advise of a lot of the mothers on here. I am willing to spend decent money as long as it will grow with the kids. at what age do you stop putting your kids in the stroller? my son is so curious that i dont know when he will ever just walk with me. Any strollers to definitely stay away from?

Strollers are nice for the younger childern up to about 3-4 when they want to go explore. After that point the stroller is just something he will climb out of. Then comes the baby leash. Those are quite nice keeps your child in distance and doesn't have you looking every where for your child.
I saw once that there is a stroller that has a baby, infant, young toddler seat and a older seat in the back where the child could sit for a while if they get tired and walk when they want to. I forget if they even have them anymore but I think that one would be nice to go for.
I found that my my childern are actually quite nice to have out in public, but then again I tell them I can FIND a corner anywhere, and that I will make them stand in it if they don't behave. Other times I will buy them a small 1-2 dollar toy after shopping as an insentive to behave while we are out. But this only happens after we are standing at the check out line.
Now that my oldest is 8 years old its nice to have her stand and walk holding the cart and behaving the way a child should out in public.
I would stay away from the really heavy strollers, and stick to an easy fold. I found Greico makes the best strollers but that is my preference. I never really used a double though most of my kids are about 2 years apart. I just made shopping more fun for them and stuck to the normal unbrella stroller.
Another thing it might just be better for you to get a baby belly pack or a sling. And stick with a small stroller for your son if he gets tired of walking. By the time your baby out grows the belly pack hopefully your son will be a bit more willing to walk around with you, or help you push the baby in the stroller.
I hope this helps a little bit.

i had 2 small children 15 months apart in age. i found a double stroller at target for 79 dollars. it worked wonderfully for me. i believe it was a cosco stroller. it had alot of features a mom can really use. the front seat can turn around to face the back seat, the back seat reclines all the way, and the best feature was the one handed folding. all ya do is press a button and it folds flat. i'd use it when i only had one child in it too...was nice for mall shopping. child in the front seat, shopping packages in the back!! do some comparitive shopping at stores before you buy. make sure you are completly comfortable with operating the stroller before using it with babies in place. good luck and congrats on #2!!

well I just started not putting my daughter in a stroller. she is almost three. She tries running off at times but she's getting better about it. It really depends on the kid. I wouldn't go too far past three though but thats just me. Now 4 year olds look a little silly to me in a stroller.

I had/have a jeep double stroller. i loved it.

Here's the one I recommend: http://www.instep.net/products/detail.php?id=20
I know you can get it for less if you shop around on the web. My son still sits in his when we exercise walk and he'll be 4 in July. The weight limit with this stroll is pretty high (100 lbs between the two kids). The seat reclines so you can even put an infant in it with blankets around them.
