Is he ready??? Unless he's showing signs he's ready, you can't force a kid to go on the potty.
When you go to the bathroom, set him on his potty, and if he goes, praise him for it. try that every 15-20 minutes. He might get the hang of it, he might not. also, talk to your pediatrician about it. they always help with that

A 14 month old is still a BABY. Unless he is capable of pulling his own pants up and down, and saying whatever word you plan to use for potty, this is way too soon.
People who claim training at this age are only catching the child. Most children this age have not developed enough to pay attention to signals that signify an urge to go. You can "introduce" the potty and offer it after drinks and meals.
It would be better to wait until the child is 2. He will have better language skills and will be moving about a lot more independently. If you wait until he's two it will take about 2 weeks to do it.
Severe potty training is the reason why so many people suffer neuroses like being anal retentive. Just wait.

u first have to be sure he is ready. if he seems like he recognizes the urge to go potty u could start him if not and u just want him to start now it wont work. he will never go if he can not recognize that feeling yet. forcing it on him may make things worse because its not fun any more and he will regress. u need to make it seem like a game. also if he is or when he is ready try making it part of the daily routine. when he gets up go. after snack go. and u must be consistent. it will take a while and some children can take a year or more to get the hang of it, but really he has to be ready for this to work so think about it.

14 months is far too early to potty train. Sorry but you will only be disappointed/frustrated/confused if you begin to try now. Shoot for introducing the potty at around 2 years and you will have a better chance at success.

You're about a year and a half early. Wait until he's showing signs and then start potty training him.

You can't train a baby. If he goes then that's great, but don't expect it to be done for another few months. He will have accidents all the time, just keep a pull-up on him and remind him to go often.

14 mths maybe abit early. Look for the signs that he is ready. Just keep him interested in the potty and one day he will shock you and use it all or ask to use to big toilet.
