I dont' care who they trust, it was the US that set them free of the Nazis, not the Virgin Mary, and certainly not God the Father. Where were they when France was overrun with murdering Nazis? .... busy condemning homosexuals????

No, because it is the same effect. To entrust their land to the Virgin Mary is to request her intercession that they be faithful to entrusting God the Father.

Entrusting there land to the Blessed Virgin Mary is entrusting it to God. She leads always to her Son. By asking her for protection they are asking him. Just as the wedding party at Cana asked her to wine and He gave it to them.

Yes, because in a way it is praying to Mary. If an angel told John not to worship him, why is it ok to pray to Mary? Colossians 2: 18 "Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions."

France is a Republic where the separation of church and state is real. Her land belongs to her people and has nothing to do with fictional characters from ancient middle eastern tales and legends.

I'm surprised France is trusting it to anything religious. I've always pictured France as a very non-religious place.

YES -- AND MOST DEFINITELY YES.....
Did Mary create the word or the universe or mankind. NOOOO!!!
No more than any of us did...
We are not to trust in, pray to, or bow down to man or to angels or any other created thing.
We -- who trust in Jesus as our Savior - pray to our Father God in
the Name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Mary did not die for us and neither did angels or any other created
being. She had to get saved like everyone else.
Only Jesus can save you. He is God and the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity.
Jesus quoted the Word to satan when tempted, saying, YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND HIM ONLY SHALL YOU SERVE. Matt.4.

Why would it be a sin?
If I leave my house to my son instead of to God, is that a sin?
