I hope this is a joke question. How old is your sister? Tell your parents what she is doing. Explain to your sister that cats feel pain the same as humans. Tell her that throwing a cat would be the equivalent of throwing her, and it DOES hurt the cat. And if this doesn't stop your cat WILL get hurt. Please try to get her to stop by explaining to her what she is doing. If she continues to do it, she does not deserve a pet, and your cat needs to find a new home. Good Luck, I hope she stops doing this.

Just how old is this "sister" of yours?

YES, your cat can die from injuries like this.

As one person said, perhaps you should do the same to your sister and see how she likes it. Actually that is not a good idea. But you certainly need to find out why she's doing it and get her to stop it. She's being cruel to both the cat and you.

She is abusing something that you care about. Has she anything that she cares about a lot? If so ...... well, you may have a bargaining tool if you can control it. Or use it as an explanation tool, a bit of a comparison, her object and your cat.

I voted + or - to each of the above... A lot of thumbs down...

1) Yes it is animal cruelty. In many areas it is illegal, but some areas the laws aren't as civilized.

2) Yes the cat abuser needs to be reported to your parents.

3) If the cat can't be protected, it needs to be given to a better home where it won't be abused.

4) abusing your sister is not going to be any help... the people who suggest child abuse as an answer are just WRONG.

My gut reaction is that you're full of sh*t with this story, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
1) This is animal cruelty. Stop the demon sister from abusing the cat. If she thinks it's funny, throw hot water on her, and pull her hair. That should make her stop.
2) Lots of serial killers are known for having abused animals before killing people. This is a bad sign. Your sister needs help.

If you can't stop your sister from abusing this poor animal, then please consider finding it a decent home. Yes, cats are like any warm blooded mammal and kicking it or throwing it can result in serious internal injuries which may lead to death.

I suggest you to give your cat away - you do not want to be responsible for the death of a cat!

this is animal abuse and it is illegal. if your sister is not legal age, your parents or guardian could probably be charged with this. you need to give the animal to someone who will take care of it before someone gets in trouble, and before your cat dies.
