See your doctor and ask for a blood clotting test. You may need to go on blood thinning drugs. This is serious - you must rule out potential embolism.

Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnisium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it.

I have problems with my legs also. If the cramp is in you calf point your toes towardsthe ceiling if you point your toes down to try and get rid of the cramp it will only strainthe muscle and make it worse.

Because you have diabetes I would consult your Dr, because it could be something as simple as lack of potassium or something related to your diabetes. Better safe than sorry.

I don't know but if you can eat bananas eat some it sounds like your short on potassium.

If you can't eat bananas ask your doctor.
