They say wait 6 weeks after birth of your child. Mainly infections, and for the little tearing to clear up. Then it is up to you. If you feel you are ready to have sex after the 6 week period the try if it is painful for you then stop. There is no set time for anyone, some can 2 weeks after others up to 2 months. It all depends if your comfortable to have sex. IF after 3 months and it is still painful see your doctor asap. If no pain then you are more then able. Just be sure to use b-control, your bodys not ready for another child... GL!!

the coolest line is after your 6 wk examine. yet absolutely, once you're feeling properly, take it basic and gently and also you may want to be ok. I have had 5 vaginal births and not in any respect waited for the 6 wk examine. After newborn one we waited 4 weeks, the shortest wait change into 2 weeks after newborn 3, that change into absolutely somewhat early and harm me a lot, no longer for the period of a lot as after. 4 weeks hasn't ever been a venture for me. i imagine what I have study from some more effective organic treatment kinds of docs is once you're feeling ok and the blood pass has surpassed/slowed to easily about no longer something. sturdy success.

6 weeks is the general rule, but they say if you feel ready you can give it a go. I think the doctor likes to see you before you have sex again but they cannot make you wait. Also "Vladkiesa" you say if you are breastfeeding you cannot get pregnant for 6 months...that is not true, there are many many many women who get pregnant again becuase they use the "breast feeding as contraception" method.

Normally 6 weeks. Just be sure your partner is gentle with you, because it will feel worse than being a virgin again for the first few times. Congrats on the new baby!!!

Your doctor needs to clear you for sex. He will let you know after your 6 week appointment.

After giving birth, you can resume this particular activity after 4 weeks. It may hurt but it is safe and if you arebreastfeeding your baby, you won't get pregnant for 6 months.....

The six week rule is just because OBs believe that women are too dumb to know our own bodies. If it is too soon you will know.

Six weeks, or whenever you feel ready. If you don't have any healing wounds and you're ready for it, then go ahead. Have fun.
