I'm off out tonight. Now i'm not feeling tip top thanks to the coldy, fluey thing going round at the moment (no not bird flu).
Anyway I was just wondering if its safe to mix Nurofen: Cold and Flu with Sudafed.
Sudafed is paracetamol based, where as Nurofen is Ibruprofen based. On the Nurofen packaging it doesn't say anything about not taking with paracetamol. BUT in this situation its better to be safe than sorry.
Anyone know for sure.

It should be safe - but you would be better off phoning nhs helpline or checking with a pharmasict, your local tesco will probably have one on hand until about8pm, give them a call and double check - i have been told when adminstating a paracetamol based drug and an ibruprofen drug, to take them 2 hours apart - this means the one will be most effective, while the other one is trailing off - hope your night out is worth it!

Should be fine just make sure there are no drugs that are the same I take paracetamol and ibuprofen together a few times its not a problem been told to by the doctor before. Just don't do it all the time or you can have stomach problems

You can mix them as long as they don't both contain the same ingredients. I take anti-inflammatory tablets and painkillers every day for back pain and I mix tablets for the best effectiveness. For example I can take paracetamol with dihydrocodeine and diclofenac (the anti-inflammatory). If they have different ingredients they should be OK to mix.

yes it is safe and i've done it many times, as you state nurofen does not have paracetomol in it.
warm some lemonade, honey and whiskey up and drink before bedtime, this will also help your fluey feeling.

i don't think its safe to mix any medicine unless the doctor said its ok to take one then another at the same time
