It's different for every person.
For some people it works great and they swear by it.
For others it doesnt do a darn thing.

I think it works as good as anything else you'd buy. The problem is really sticking with it. You can have as few as 3 steps or 5 or more. Its really a pain to go through all of those steps all of the time. I think if you get similiar products that aren't proactive and used them the same amount, you'd get similiar results.

No. My brother has severe acne and it made it worse. Same for my sister. It doesn't help. Ask your doctor for Acutane. It's very strong medication, but helps your acne go away forever and never come back. Even though I am the only one saying that Proactiv doesn't work, I still am speaking the truth. Best of luck. =]

That would be Proactiv...........my daughter tried it and it was a bit too strong for her complexion. We called, and they told us that the first six weeks there will be alot of sloughing of skin cells. It is real gritty, like sand actually, you have to be real careful not to scrub, just real light strokes. After the six weeks is up, they said she would see results. What she saw after six weeks, was large areas of irriatated skin, bumpy. Not like pimples but like little hard nodules. She quit using it,she uses a product from Naturemade, much better results. Good luck.

acne can be helped by eating Yogurt...make sure it has those active cultures in it though. Acidophilus...eat a couple of tablespoons at least everyday....see if it can make a difference. A lot healthier and a lot cheaper I am sure. If not, go for the proactive and see...

It didn't work for me or my boyfriend but I have a friend it did work for. I think it is different for each person. You might be better off just going to a dermatologist and they can give you a prescription specific to your skin and the degree of your acne problem.

It didn't help clear anything up for me. It make my face red like it was chapped, peeling, and painfully dry. My dermatologist told me that my pores could go into shock from putting too many chemicals on it, since then i've only used dove soap and water on my face twice a day and it is always clear.

It does but you have to use it continuously. I tried it when it first came out in 95 and it does. It's that repairing lotion that does the trick more so. Just expensive like close to $50 each time you order it.
