She sounds like she's prepubescent. I started my period when I was 10, so it's possible that she is experiencing the hormonal changes that come with it. Has she gotten taller recently? She may be in the middle of a growth spurt too, which also causes emotional highs and lows. I went from 5'2" to 5'7" in the summer between 13 and 14 and it wasn't pretty. My joints hurt and I had a lot of headaches, which made me feel generally miserable.

Doubt its related to getting her period. I got mine when i freshly turned 10, and didnt have any of those symptoms. It may just be her hormones. Or something may be bothering her. Open up the communication and tell her that you've notice a change and ask if there's anything she would like to discuss. Doesn't matter what she is going through, don't let your self be disrespected.

Young girls her age have been known to start menstruating at this age. But make sure there isn't some underlying reason for her emotions too eh? There could be friend trouble, school trouble, or even a boy she may have a crush on....or..something else. Ask, watch and seek those answers.

If you believe it could be hormonal, speak with your Dr. Good Luck!

I think so. I would if you havent sit down with her and discuss the things that will happen to her body. My mom waited till the school told us, and that was hard for me. I would have rather heard it from her. Good luck
