The people who say you can go to jail are wrong. This is a traffic infraction. (Veh. Code 22348.) The people who say you can find things out by calling the police are wrong, you can't. The people who say it is 4 points on your record are wrong, it is 2. (Veh. Code 12810.) The people who say you will lose your license for a year are wrong. The permissible suspension is one month. The people who say you cannot avoid it are wrong. The judge can, but is not required, to suspend your license. My impression is that they usually do so, but with a clean record you may be able to convince the judge to be kind.

You may also be able to convince the judge to give you a fine lower than the scheduled one of about $858 (although it could be more than twice that).

(Didn't I just answer this for you a couple of days ago?)

Thats a good question for the Judge....as he will decide that for you. You werent concerned about it when you were going over 100 mph and endangering others on the road, so why are you sweating it now? A driving license is a priveledge, not a right. If you cant do the time, dont do the crime.

The ticket should have some directions on it, otherwise you will get a notice in the mail. It does not hurt to call the Calif Police and ask them. Good Luck, and SLOW down. My uncle always says don't drive faster than you can afford.

If you were citied for driving over one hundred miles per hour, you will lose your license - probably for a year or more - and may end up in jail.

That's not a traffic offense...that's a criminal offense.

My guess is that your fine will be in the hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

So why do you think you deserve to have a drivers license? you were dtriving over 100 mph, putting yourself and everyone else on the road in danger, and you think you deserve some sort of special treatment? I hope you never get it back. People like you take parents away from children and children away from their parents.

They will suspend your liscense.
2 points for reckless driving and 2 points for excessive speed is 4 points. 4 points on your record in under a 12 month time = liscense gone, suspended.

THANK YOU SPUD
