They are stickers. The only races where the teams might paint ALL of the logos on are the restrictor plates races. Some teams do paint them on in this case trying to get every advantage possible. Believe it or not, painted on logos don't stick up as high as stickers do. So, less height equals less drag equals possibly enough of a speed gain to make a difference.

No real headlights in NASCAR, just sheetmetal, paint/vinyl wraps, and sticker decals decorating the car in order for it to look the way you see it on the track.

Decals all of the time...with all the bumps and dump drafting and slight hits...real head lights would just be a pain as they would bust and leave debris all over the place and would also be an unncessary expense and addition to the car.

They are stickers due to the fact that if they wreck with real lights, the glass scatters across the track. Plus all the tracks are lit, so they don't need lights.

Decals since the real headlights would cause additional cleanup during slight bumps and wrecks. Also, all the tracks are held early enough or are lighted so headlights aren't neccessary.

They are real. That's why their headlights are always on at night.
They are stickers. The cars are not real, remember?
