I have some uncooked eggs still in the shell in my fridge and their about a week old. I'm dying to make some cheese eggs today but I don't want to get sick from them, will I be ok if I eat them?

the date is only a guess if your fridge is cold do the following to see if they are too old

Get a dish that is deeper than the egg and fill with cold water (the water should be three to four inches deeper then the egg)
Put the egg in the water and if it floats it is too old

if it is in the middle it is too old

As the egg gets older the air space that is in the egg gets bigger so the older the egg the bigger air space and it will float

Use a little common sense and check the date of the eggs, how long you have ad them in the fridge and what you are using them for as to whether it is ok or not. Just because they have anexpiration date or sell by date doesn't mean they aren't good.

Yes of course you can. I've eaten eggs, drank milk way past expiration dates. Typically, you can tell if an eggs bad by when you crack it open, if the yolk has some "puff" to it, than you're fine. Also, never forget the smell test. But to answer your question in a short way, you should be fine, esp. at a week.

Eat them that few days will be perfectly fine. I would bet that 50% of all eggs eaten in the U. S. are eaten after their expiration.
Not that that is smart and remember to cook the eggs well to prevent any micro problems and that goes for fresh eggs also.

Eggs are generally good for 30 days from time of purchase.Look for discoloration , cracking , and a bad odor.If any of these occur take them back to where you purchased them and get a refund or replacement.

i watched this show called dr know on the discovery channel, and he tested expired foods... based on what i learned from that, you COULD get sick, but it would probably be a mild case if anything. like an upset stomach. unless, that is, it is super expired.

but i doubt youd get sick. hope this helps :)

cheese eggs sounds pretty good btw, thanks for the lunch idea lol
