How to i change the settings on GIMP?

When I want to open a picture to look at it, GIMP is always opening it and it gets annoying i want my regular settings without every single picture i open opening with GIMP

Right click on the file you want to open. This will open a menu where you will find "Open With". Under that submenu you will find all your various programs listed which can look at pictures, and at the bottom of the list is "Choose Program". Select "Choose Program" and after a bit of a delay it will open up a listing of all your various programs and at the bottom of that box will be a check box that says "Always use this program". Check that box and then select the program that you want to open your pictures with when you double click on them. That will reset Windows to always use that particular program to open the pictures.
