I think the religion is crazy.

The Book of Mormon is full of stupid stories. The Bible isn't.

People claim that there are plenty of so-called dumb stories in the Bible, but you have to remember that these stories are all true and that the world was a different place back then.

The physics of the earth were different, which enabled some people to live to 300 years. Also, there was a huge canopy that covered the earth and flooded the entire planet that caused the flood that Noah was in. This dissappeared after the flood, which is why there is no longer enough water to cover the earth.

Also, the earth was new, so God felt the need to intervene more than he does now. This is why you don't see stuff like a parting of the Red Sea.

What do you think of Mormons that make the FALSE claim that the Bible has silly stories in it too, which shouldn't make you automatically assume that both books are false?

Please. The Bible is FACT and HISTORICAL.

The Book of Mormon is a copy

I was wondering when the Mormon-bashing was going to start. Pretty early today. So, here it goes...
1. WHAT exactly is the Book of Mormon a copy of? And how are the stories therein stupid, while the Bible isn't? It would seem if one is stupid, then the other is stupid. Unless you didn't read them both, stupid.

2. The flood...what does that have to do with the Book of Mormon?

3. The parting of the Red Sea....uh...huh? Can you say that again, and maybe in English this time?

4. Where do the Mormons claim that the Bible has "silly stories"? We use the King James Version, we read it, we love it. This year we are collectively studying the New Testament. You know, the one with Jesus and Paul and Revelations and like that? Or did you read it?

Maybe you should read the book before you do the report, ignoramus!

just like the Koran from what I can see.

just another cult for self gain or personal premise.

the holy scriptures from Genesis to the new testament is recorded history as well as a structured genealogy.

the book of mormons is a continuation of the new testement.
the book that says not to add or subtract from it.

in a similar way the Koran does the same thing.

and didn't jesus talk about a time when a religious cult would render a sacred service to God but proving false to its works ?

that time is now...

Mormons need to find a different way to convince people to convert because they r the most annoying religious group, bugging you at home, at the bus stop, just going about your daily lives. They should realize that the literature that is given is thrown away, Just look throughout the city, trash cans full.

hmmm.... it's obvious that you don't know what you are talking about. my parents are mormon and i can tell you that what you said about mormons is untrue. they read the same bible as you. they believe the same stuff as you they just have an extra book in it that is the only diffrence. the book of mormon was meant as an add on. i really don't care what you think either way cause im not mormon just thought you may want someone to clear up your misunderstanding.

Mormons are just Christians who follow a slightly different path. I'm not one, and don't believe in their particular brand of Christianity, but to be honest, I see nothing especially wrong with their beliefs. Good people are good people no matter what brand of religion they profess.

What you fail to realize is that "The Bible" that you refer to is contrived and manipulated garbage. It's spectacular, and intriguing and alot of it is very spiritual and comforting, BUT, garbage nonetheless.
Go study. You don't know enough to understand the question you just asked.

Here is a "fact" from the BIBLE found in Ezekiel 37:

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
