I am fourteen years old and have rings underneath my eyes. They are purple-ish. I have had glasses since second grade [I am in eighth now.], and have an eye doctors appointment on March 6th. I only have seventeen days. My problem is: I want contacts. But even foundation won't cover up my ugly eyes! I have school vacation this week, so I am willing to try anything. I would like a remedy that is something most people would have a t home. Please help! [I will choose the best answer really soon.] Thank you. [P.S. I need a fast working remedy. Start seeing results quickly.]

Like you I am 14 years old and have the same problem. I know how much it sucks also. I find that how much I sleep does not control the the darkness of under my eyes, in fact some times if I sleep more the darkness gets darker.... any way ask your eye doctor about some cream to lower the darkness under your eyes.

I hope this helps

The most common reason for the dark circles is nasal congestion. Since it sounds like you've had this problem for a while, maybe you have allergies or blocked sinus passages rather than a cold. You should probably see your family doctor so you can find out if you are allergic to anything that is causing the congestion. Then, when you find the cause, you'll be able to treat it properly. Read the information from my source citing, and see if it applies to you. It's from Mott's Children's Hospital in Michigan. Good luck.

I've found that getting enough sleep helps with dark rings under the eyes. Lowering stress might also help. Get plenty of rest 8 hours per night and talk to you eye doctor about your concerns during the appointment.
