well USA is defeated, even with your great army you cant control irak because the political situation is agains US, you can stay you can't scape, Bush put US in an imposible situation, even if you would be the Roman empire if the political map is against you, you will lose. The debt in USA is increasing every day, never in the US history was so high, the army in irak is so small to control it, if you are conservative and support war well go by your self and move to fight iraq, after all USA have 300 millions of people they can easy lose at least one million of lives if they want to win? or the usa are so rich that can fight 50 years and win?, well remember the war between palestina and israel begun in 1948 and who can see an end that war, the people form Asia have a infinity patient thing that US people not. US cant win to a guerrilla warfare, US couldntt with Sandino, US couldn't with vietnam and US cant with iraqui insugency, the US army is not designed to such kind of fighting the never had that kind of war in their home land, they not, even in the civil war US cant understand how it works, indeed is one of the weak points of the american empire. And US is not so big as your grandfathers were, Bush is not Franklin roosvelt, the current generation are not the warriors of the world war 2, US is not the greatest manufacturer in the world any more and well the debt of the USA is so big that is question of time for the defeated. The only thing that US can get is go out before they get their hadrianople (desisive defeated of the roman empire and final way to their fall) and before debt crash them. Sorry but the oil in iraq will be of China and Russia because they knows how to do diplomacy

It is called a fragmented nation Look back-We as a nation have not won a war since WWII. Read history. Look at Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, The Gulf war. Nothing new, the liberals are the very ones to cause the fiasco in Vietnam. One liberal Clinton caused Somalia.
We elect these people to office. I guess maybe we deserve what we get. Sorry to say.
There are those in this nation who care for the nation and there are those who care for their own fat wallets and A--ess. Then there are those who have an agenda to destroy the nation.
The democrats of today are not the democrats my grandfather voted for. They are the Brown shirts of Germany who became the Nazi party. Don't think they are throwing up their hands. It is a planned Left liberal threat to your and my freedoms. Oh, yes, and it is working.

What say I? I say that these questions completely and conveniently ignore the fact that there is a growing chorus of republicans who also don't like the way the president has executed this war. Many Republicans who voted against the resolution never the less voiced displeasure at the presidents decisions. These questions also never call Bush to task for his performance and the fact that it's his fault we're where we are now.

i am ashamed too. i'm also ashamed that there are people who think this is somehow right. where did our country go wrong? wtf is with these people?
i cannot believe this. we are the strongest country in the world. and we're being brought down by a few assholes with some improvised weapons. this is just, staggering. i am so ashamed to be american. i never thought i would ever say such a thing. my fellow countrymen deserve to be slaughtered like the sheep they are, but lucky for them they have people like our troops who would still, even after the shameful display yesterday, die to protect them. they're not worth it. so i do agree now: bring the troops on home now. they can fight here to protect their own families and others who still support them. i wouldn't blame them at all if they left the rest of us out to dry.

Vietnam.
In truth, pulling out has more advantages then staying in. Vietnams biggest tragedy is what it did to our economy, something that this war will do the same. There is no profitability in staying. And for the record, we aren't at war because we haven't anyone to declare war against. What declaration of war are you speaking of? The war with Iraq ended when we captured Saddam, technically we got a W in the win column. If we leave now we put the spin that we got what we wanted.

No. They are admitting that George Bush lied to get us into Iraq and woefully failed to plan for a civil war that the entire rest of the world knew would happen. Now, because of all the lying that Bush has done, he CAN'T pull out of Iraq and leave a mess. That would be "failure" in HIS OWN WORDS. If Bush hadn't set himself up for failure, he would look like a flexible sane leader who was responsible for his taxpayers' money if he pulled out. BUT, unfortunately for him (and us) he had to be the cheerleader he always was and talk about "vickchery" and "failure", leaving him no option but to dig himself in deeper.
When he gets his way and gets his escalation and it fails, will you admit he was wrong to escalate?

properly its impressive they ultimately hanged Saddam. would someone replace him is the question.it is the reason the infantrymen are nonetheless there. And plus like the Philippines the U. S. will be attempting to regulate Iraq as a Democratic u . s . with guidelines given through the U. S. for Iraq to adhere to and likewise have a US base there. The Democrats will be considering the losses of conflict. yet in trouble-free terms the useless see the top of conflict.

WE are wasting OUR resources in IRAQ when it could be used to build infrastructures like healthcare clinics.
America admitting defeat? That's very unlikely considering we "are the strongest" country in the world.. while North Korea has nuclear arms and other countries hate us.
Being an optimistic person, there can be peace...

The democrats just want bush to fail. But this is a bad strategy to re-win the whitehouse, because I think if they cut the funding and bring the troops home, we will be bombed by Al-Queda again.
