I once served a variety of Italian sausages with a stuffed pasta. Just remove the casings and flatten a bit before cooking.

Or for a vegetable side, asparagus sauteed with garlic and olive oil is very good. Once it is tender, add some lemon zest, salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese.

Steamed broccoli or asparagus or cauliflower with a cheese or hollandaise sauce, and a nice light green salad and grab some garlic bread from the freezer section.

Sounds like a great dinner!

Fresh broccoli rabe (aka brocoli di rapi in Italy) or fresh spinach sauteed for 30 seconds to one minute at medium-high heat in extra virgin olive oil and crushed or minced fresh garlic. Wash and dry the broccoli or spinach well before sauteing to prevent the hot oil from spattering.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fruit and vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
