Are you currently taking any medication? Has something traumatic in your life occured in the last six months? Sometimes growing is painful. Is the crying also followed by chronic fatigue? Loss of appetite? Little to no interest in things that you have been interested in prior to? Like absolutely no energy? I know, you are waiting for me to say you are probably suffering from depression on some level. Perhaps you are, but before you visit a doctor I recommend two things that I have found to be helpful in times of anxiety, sadness, dysphoria. I recommend increasing your cardio time, even just a thirty minute jog, walk,etc.. for a ten day period. Sometimes when we stimulate the endorphin flow naturally, we are able to turn the chemistry around and the effects of melencholy before it reaches a place that we have to seek treatment. Along with this I would begin a journal. Write daily, preferably before you are physically active how you are feeling. See if you notice a difference in your moods after expelling energy. Record how you are feeling daily and changes that you might note both emotionally and physically. For instance, after three days of walking my dog two miles my appetite has returned. Make sure to record differences if there are any. If you do not see a noticeable (and it will be a noticeable difference) within a two week period,
then I would go to the doctor just to be sure that you were not in a place where you might need medication to get to a therapeutic level. We only take medication so that we are able to handle a day without crying and then you are able to work on what it is that is making you feel so melencholy. Good luck!

Hello Aycicek,
I'm sorry to hear this, but will hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. Like you I have had times in my life that I felt like crying all of the time. What your going through can be a part of Depression, but it can also be a part of Anxiety. I am not a professional councler even though I will be studing to become one soon. When is the last time you have had your Thryoid checked?
Mine was out of whack which was the major cause of my problems. No matter what you do I advise you to talk to someone that you can trust. Not only feeling how you are can be scary, it can be life threating in the aspect if it is ignored it could cause you to become suicidal.
Just remember that almost all medication for depression are a mask. Yes it is true that people do have chemical imbalances but that is not what I'm talking about here.
I wish you the best life has to offer, just hang in there life gets better. Feel free to e-mail me if you even need someone to talk to. I have been told by my friends that I am a great listener.
My e-mail address is d_heyman1@Yahoo.com
Sincerely,
Buster

It could be hormonal (from personal experience) and it could be that it's a natural part of the human condition. But as other answerers said, it could be depression, so check it out with your doctor. Either way, there's help for this. Hope you feel better soon.

Maybe something deep in your past bothers you, maybe everything. That's what happened to me, been crying every day for 5 years now. I discovered "all of a sudden" very late in life that
I had unforgiveness and hatred in my heart, carry it for so long also gave me feelings of guilt. ... "pray" that God removes the bad from your heart and replaces it with good.

You may be Depressed, Depression will cause one to cry a lot. Please see you Doctor.
Two hallmarks of depression — symptoms key to establishing a diagnosis — are:
Loss of interest in normal daily activities. You lose interest in or pleasure from activities that you used to enjoy.
Depressed mood. You feel sad, helpless or hopeless, and may have crying spells.

Hormone changes are a big thing that makes women weepy.
Are you getting ready for your period? Could you be pregnant?
Are you taking any medication that could have an effect on your hormones?
