yes there is a recall on peter pan and great value (the wal-mart brand) of peanut butter. There is a salmonella outbreak associated with it.

Yes there was a recall on Great Value and Peter Pan Peanut Butter with the digits 2111 on the top of the lid.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to eat certain jars of Peter Pan peanut butter or Great Value peanut butter due to risk of contamination with Salmonella Tennessee (a bacterium that causes food borne illness).
The affected jars of Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter have a product code located on the lid of the jar that begins with the number "2111." Both the Peter Pan and Great Value brands are manufactured in a single facility in Sylvester, Georgia by ConAgra. Great Value peanut butter made by other manufacturers is not affected.

No. Con Agra Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter with the lot number starting 2111 my mom had 3 jars of it, and had made a batch of peanut butter Chocolate chunk cookies with one jar of it. No one is sick. We had eaten the entire batch before we heard the recall. Still we are taking the other jars back.

Yes, there is. The Great Value brand. Take the unused portion back to Wal-Mart. They will give you a refund in full and also allow you to select another jar; however, the store I work for is sold out of Skippy!

yes there is peter pan and walmarts great value brand are both made by ConAgra foods...if the peanut butter lid has code that begins with 2111 than it is affected by the recall

YES! Their Great Value and the Peter Pan too.
I had the Peter Pan 2111 and tossed it last night.
