IAMS brand cat food is the best and they make all kinds... they make kitten food for one or multiple kittens and then you can upgrade to a formula made for older cats as they grow. you should only use dry food cuz wet food is like junk food for them its not healthy and they will get fat and lazy and die sooner! its the truth i know from personal experience. IAMS is a little more expensive than other brands but it is worth it! read the packages cuz the formulas are very specific to fit your cat's exact needs (for example: indoor/outdoor, weight control, hairball control, multiple cats...) also keep lots of fresh water around and just keep a small dish around full of food but dont refill it more than twice a day. good luck!

4 month old kittens are ready to eat real cat food that is not that big. Trust me that is when my kitten started eating what my cat did. Cross my heart. And you should just let it eat when ever it is hungry but put the food some where people look all the time.

A kitten of that age should be on solid dry food and water. Dry because it is much better for their teeth, and produces less bacteria and plaque. You can be using kitten chow but they probably wouldn't need it much longer. Cow's milk isn't really good for cats and was started by convience for farmers and barn cats. It shouldn't be used as a "food source" for pet cats. Lots of fresh water is the best bet. Most cats won't over eat and stuff themselves either so free feeding is a convient way to feed. They are independant enough to eat and drink when needed and play and snooze the rest. Just fill their bowl and remember to change the water at least once a day to remove dirt and food particles. If you choose not to free feed, once in the morning and once at night will keep them very well.

Kitten food until they are 1 year old.

When you buy dry or canned foods read the label. It the first or second ingredients are any by-products don't buy it. By products are parts of the animal we humans wouldn't even consider eating.

I would get the more expensive natural foods during their growing years.

Feed canned foods three times a day small portions and free feeding for the dry food with plenty of fresh water.

Don't give him any human foods.

I accidentally gave my 4 month old kitten adult canned food and he got diarrhea, so make sure it says for kittens.

Canned kitten food, maybe some high quality dry kitten food, and they eat 4 times a day. Make sure you provide fresh water also. Kitten food is higher in fat and protein which they need.

I've been feeding my cat that is now 3 years the same thing every day since she was 3 months.

A half can of wet food every morning (Really depends on how picky your cat is. And what you train it to eat) You may want to smoosh it around with a fork to make it easier to eat.

Then leave a bowl of dry, small sized kitten mix at all times for thier pleasure.

Make sure to never give them milk, and to always leave fresh water in a clean bowl.

Until kittens are a year old, they should eat a kitten formula. It's best to feed them a high-quality dry food. (Soft food is bad for their teeth if it's all they eat.) You should try to feed your cat twice a day (once in the morning, once in the evening). That will prevent it from becoming obese and will allow you to monitor their food intake better.

go to Petsmart, they have kitten food there. Usually feed them twice a day, it should be enough. If your kitten(s) is a burmese, DO NOT GIVE THEM CANNED FOOD.its not bad for them, they just dont eat it. good luck! =)
