According to any federal background check in the states, no. But, a buddy of mine and myself were arrested in South Korea when we were there.

It was our second night in port in Pusan, South Korea. We were at a bar/ restaraunt. This lady went to the restroom at the table next to us. When she came back, she told the barkeep that someone had stolen about $300 in Won(korean money) from her purse. Of course, we didn't know what was going on as they were speaking Korean, and we weren't paying attention in the first place.

Well, next thing you know, the Korean, or local Pusan(IDK), were in the bar. They came up and started asking us stuff in Korean(why they did that IDK, obviously we didn't speak Korean). Anyways, the rationale was that since my buddy and I were the closest to the table, we took the money. Next thing I know we were in jail. We got taken to separate cells. You had to sit Indian style in the middle of the room, and couldn't lean on anything. We were there for about 6 hours. Everyone once in a while, they would come in yell, and demand that I sign some papers. My buddy told me later they did th same thing to him. I figured after a while, they would come in and start beating me or something.

Finally, they opened the door, and there was my Sgt. Maj. I figured I was in deep sh*t, but will still very happy to see him. He and the JAG came to get us out. We signed a bunch of papers after the JAG read them and told us to. They informed us we had to go before the judge(magistrate, or whatever he was called) in two weeks. I didn't think anything about it. We pulled out of port there a few days later. On ship, I went to the Sgt. Maj. and asked him how we were going to get to court since we pulled out of port. He looked me in the eye, snickered, and told me "Son, I hate to inform you of this, but you can never return to the Republic of South Korea again." I tried to get the mugshot that the USMC took from them, but they wouldn't let us have them.

Funny thing, when I got stationed at Camp Pendleton about a year later, my Plt. Sgt called me in the office and told me he selected myself and about 10 others to go to some exercise in Korea. I had to let him know what had happened, and that I was told I couldn't go back there ever again. He checked into it, and a couple days later told me I was not going.

So, like I said, no background check here shows I went to jail. But, I do have a great story to tell my kids and grandkids from now on.

I even have been arrested 8 or 9 cases and particularly much arrested 12 or 15 cases. lots of the close calls have been for disrespecting them. each and every time they searched me hoping to detect drugs or a weapon to fee on.

Yes. for pot. After 40 years of smoking pot I got turned in by a snitch. Pot helped me quit cigarettes. (2 packs a day)30 yrs ago. Pot helped me quit drinking alcohol 25 yrs ago. The only problem I have ever had with it is when I was arrested. Now I'm retired.( and still puffin.)

Well I got charged misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks, I got a lawyer and paid most of them off before I went to court they didn't actually arrest me but I plead guilty in 2 counties and had to pay restitution to the places I wrote the checks in and also had to pay court costs and Prosecuting attorney fees. I also had to pay my lawyer and got it worked out so I had to pay payments to pay them off. I did 2 year's probation and I really do regret it my ex-husband and his friend coreced me into doing it for their alcohol. They are both alcoholics and this happened in 1994. One bad check an old one came up in July 1996 and I got it paid off right away. I haven't been in trouble since I have my own apt and yes I have a checking account but I haven't bounced any checks been overdrawn because of bank fees and 2 instances where a company the cell phone one took money out of my account and I didn't authorize it to be taken out on that day.
