I'm running Vista Home Premium on my laptop (1.25 GB RAM, 1.6 GHz Pentium M Processor) and everytime my windows is updated using windows update, when i restart my computer it fails to load every time. is there any reason for this?

Did you do an upgrade to vista or full install of vista. Sometimes if its an upgrade to vista it doesn't work properly. I would recommend doing a full install if you can. If not download vista upgrade advisor and see if your computer is fully capable of handling vista.
