yes i do feel very sorry for you. sounds like your a cat lover 2. try some allergy medicine and see if helps. do the same thing with a kid's version with your son. if that doesn't work talk to your mum and see if you can arrange to see them more often. try getting a sphinx cat (a hairless one) (if you don't care about how it looks)

I was also raised with cats in the house (and was fine) but developed an allergy once I was away from them. If I'm going to be around a cat longterm, I can get over it by taking regular antihistamines for a couple of weeks and then gradually weaning myself off them. It works for me. I also keep any cat I'm near well-brushed. It's the hair and dander I'm allergic to, so if most of that ends up in the dustbin -- instead of around the house -- I have a better chance of my system's getting used to being around a cat again.

I feel your pain. I am allergic to all animals too.

Try a hairless cat, or a poodle. They are hypo allergenic.

I was given an Old English Sheepdog and my allergies to wool came out badly. A few weeks later I acclimatized to her but for the rest of her life I was prone to more colds because it lowered my resistance.

That is probably the same for you and your childhood companion.

I hope things improve. At least they have a good home and you can visit them.

Nice thing about a hairless cat, you can get them cute stuff to wear.

Were the new cats long hairs or a specific breed? Maybe you could keep one and be OK - I feel bad for you but it is odd it came up so fast!

Yes, that is sad. I would go to a couple good allergy doctors and see if there's a medication that would help you. With modern medicine these days they can probably help you out.

Yes I do. Do you know that some people who love cat will get the shots. that way you can keep your babies. good luck. Hay what about a hairless cat. You could dress them it cute clothing.
