Today seems like a good day to make soup. It's really cold out and I don't have to go anywhere (except maybe the grocery store!).
Vegetable beef? Cream of chicken with rice and lemon juice? Chicken with lime juice, cilantro, and tortilla strips?
Some other kind?
Any good recipes?

Chicken Tortilla Soup
2-3 garlic cloves

vegetable oil
1-2 cups cooked chicken (2 oz. per serving)
Monterey Jack cheese (1 oz. per serving)
Sharp Cheddar Cheese (1 oz per serving)
1-2 avocados, peeled, pitted and sliced
Puree cilantro, garlic, onion, chilies, and tomatoes in a blender or food processor. Heat stock and add pureed mixture into cumin and salt. Bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer about 1 hour. Stir dissolved cornstarch into stock.
Fry tortillas in oil until crisp; drain well. Add chicken to stock and garnish with shredded cheese, tortila strips, avocado, sour cream, salsa, or whatever else you prefer.

Vegetable Beef is ALWAYS my favorite soup to make. Brunswick Stew is very good on a cold day, but really involved and it takes a good part of the day.

Beetroot soup with cream. One of my very favorites. I had it three days ago, after a long time, and it was great! We had it cold, because we're in the middle of the Summer, but you can have it nicely warm.
Easy and delicious!
Have a wonderful weekend, zen, and stay warm!! :) :)

Mushroom soup, now that's a soup I'd want to eat on a cold day. When it's served put some toast bread in it - yummm ;).
