Hello..
I am currently a permanent resident of Canada. I do have have my PRC, and residing Windsor, Ontario. I was originally born in Iraq, but have been residing Windsor for the past 20 months, after moving from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. My aunt lives in the states, and i have been thinking alot about visiting her regualarly. I recently heard that you can obtain a visa to the united States valid for 3 years to go in and out. I find that hard to believe but its going to be incredible if that was true, since i can visit my aunt atleast twice a month. Please Advice about the name of that visa and its requirments.

Thanking You

I think that is great that you want to visit with your family members, however please just be aware that parts of our country (Some More Than Others) are very reluctant to welcome anyone from Iraq. I know that you will be watched very closely and sometimes shunned. It's unfortunate but it does happen because of the war and the damage that our country has sustained. I'm sure that you are a good person but just beware of your surroundings at all times when you get here. You just never know what people are thinking. I know that around here where I live, there has been much discrimination and violence against anyone from your decent. Best of luck to you and your family. My best wishes are with you. I'm just saying that you will need to have eyes in the back of your head depending what state that you are going to.

it's great thay your're trying to see your family.

I believe you would be looking for a B1 visa which is a Pleasure Visitor visa. It would allow you to go to the U.S. numerous times (just for a VISIT) in the next few years. You will need to pass by the U.S. Consualte in Windsor to fill out forms and go to an interview. You will also need a passport. Lastly, you will need proof that you will return to Canada after a set number of days.

Good Luck!

You need to contact the US Consulate in Ontario and they will direct you on the process for applying for a visa.
