The IRS only sends tax refunds on Fridays. Usually 7-10 business days.

Prior experience has led me to believe that a return filed before close of business (COB) on a Tuesday will result in a refund the following week on Friday. A return filed after Tuesday COB and before Saturday will result in a week longer wait than if filing on Tuesday prior to COB.

Should you file on Tuesday at 11:59pm you will have to wait two Fridays and then on the third Friday after filing to receive your refund. Since the IRS only sends or transmits refunds on Fridays, you'll miss the refund slot by 1 day and get bumped to the next refund slot.

Basically just wait, it's on its way!

Wow-another one! There have been several posters on here this morning saying the same exact thing! I must be the odd one out because I DID receive my direct deposit yesterday morning, 2/16, from the IRS.

If you went through any kind of a tax preparer and they had to take fees out first, then they have your refund and will deposit your money into your bank account within a few more days. If not, then I don't know what could of possibly happened. Whenever the IRS has given us a direct deposit date, our money is always there that same exact day!
