Well, you've gone and upset pangel with this jan thing.. my thoughts are that you should reconcile with her before preaching the gospel of evolution. For how can you preach if you have offended such a lovely creature?
I'll spread the gospel of evolution in your stead. Now fix it!

Believers and non-believers alike have a variety of blinders for whatever theology, science or philosophy they don't like or agree with.
Can we just declare a temporary cease fire for the afternoon, sit down, sing "Kum-bay-ya" and pass around some Mogan David and paper thin wafers?
I don't ask for much; just put down our poking sticks and Bibles and coexist for a bit.
I'll offer to give everyone some very nice deep-tissue massage. I'm very good at it.
(that statement had no erotic references for those that don't know any better)

if evolution is true why then are there only specific species ? why isn't evolution a continuing process with every transitional example evident as we speak? Why are the species so distinct and consistent within themselves? If evolution were true it would be a continuing process which could be observed to manifest every transitional form.

No they are not liars. They are just closed mind fools. No matter how much proof you provide they claim they are still waiting for the proof. They are wrapped so tight in their cocoon of ignorance afraid of losing their little piece of la la fantasy land of eternity. They are afraid to open their minds the least bit in fear that their fantasy Boogie Man Satan will jump out and take a bite of their butt.

Disagree. But some do use lies to try to argue for creationism.
It is one thing to say, "This is what I believe no matter what evidence you show me." That may not make sense to those of us who are more analytically oriented than we are faith oriented. But it IS lying to quote mine, misrepresent scientific principles or introduce false evidence. Some do engage in the latter behaviors and they make themselves liars when they do so.

Even forget common sense for a minute. There is actual proof that you can see and touch to prove evolution.

Liar wouldn't be the correct terminology. A liar is someone who knows something to be true but lies. Christians, (etc) believe it is false and know it to be untruthful (in their minds). They wouldn't be liars then. Unrealistic would be a better term.

In order for a person to be a liar they have to know what they are saying is false.
I say, and firmly believe, God created everything.
Since I am firmly convinced of this I am not a liar.

But the Bible teaches that for one to conclude something before it is truly proven is a fool. The Bible also encourages us not to be fools. Personally I am still waithing for the proof that evolutionists claim they have but never seem to be able to produce.
