First of all intelligent Design have nothing to do with Christianity , Judaism, Islam and any interventionist God... I.D just propose that the universe is Elegant , it is not the work of pure hazard. The Structure of the universe is described mathematically and not chaotic ... Einstein quotes:
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. if something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." "To sense that behind anything that can be experienced there is something that our mind cannot grasp whose beauty and sublimity reaches us only indirectly and as feeble reflection, this is religiousness. In this sense I am religious"
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former"

He believed in the beauty and mystery of the universe, but not an intelligent design. He acknowledged that much is still unknowable, but not that it was "designed" by a Deity.

"It is quite possible that we can do greater things than Jesus, for what is written in the bible is greatly embellished." A.E.

Einstein believed in Intelligent Design. No doubt.
The scientist is possessed by the sense of universal causation....His religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an INTELLIGENCE of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection. This feeling is the guiding principle of his life and work, in so far as he succeeds in keeping himself from the shackles of selfish desire (Updike 2007: 77 [emphasis added]).

Intelligent Design is a joke.

You're claiming that the world is so complex and elegant that it requires a creator.

Obviously, a being that created all this complexity and elegance must be more complex and elegant than his creation.

By our previous logic, that creator is so complex and elegant that it requires a creator.

Einstein did not believe in a personal god and he certainly didn't believe that we should ignore science and stick to mythology.
