Glucosamine is safe to use even with pain medications. Aspirin can cause gastric ulcers (in pets and humans). If you must use aspirin, use a buffered or coated aspirin. The better thing to do is take your dog to the vet and have something prescribed for pain. Those drugs are a little safer. But, all drugs have side effects.

It won't hurt your dog if you give it as prescribed. The only side effect I know is the dog may become a little sleepy. All the side effect are explained in the boxes. But never give medicines to your dog when you are unsure if he really needs it. I won't say ask the vet, because I'm sure you've already done this :) If he told you to give both medicines to your pup, he knows that they wont hurt the dog.

no different than human aspirin just the dosing. it works great as an anti inflammatory for animals with joint problems, but always remember it will have the some side effects. bleeding problems, stomach problems, and in excessive amounts can cause renal failure, just like in humans

I don't think it would have been invented if it would harm your doggie. But if you have any worrys just get the phone book out and call the local vet and ask them what they would do.

Good Luck!
