well back in the day it was a pink collar job (because it was a womens field of work). Now i am not so sure, it is not really blue collar because it is not labor intensive (hence the idea of blue collar to hide the dirt and sweat). I guess it would be more white collar if anything because it requires a little training but is not labor intensive, yet it does not require so much training that it might be considered a profession (which would not involve a collar at all). Hmm.. what an interesting question thanks!

It's considered a blue collared job.

If it were a job sitting behind a desk such as a lawyer, then that's considered white collar job. Higher education makes it more of a white collar job.
