free 64-bit virusscanner?

Ok, i have a new computer and i installed the 64-bit windows and I woul like a free virusscanner. I tried AVG but it didn't work cuz it didn't support 64-bit. I could switch back to 32-bit windows but 64-bit works a lot faster. Anyone have an idea?

The free version of Avast (which is an excellent virus scanner) supports the 64-bit version of XP.
