I've never heard of that. If you want to try to get rid of it without going to a doctor, then drink cranberry juice. If you can't stand the taste of that, try cran-apple or cran-(insert other fruit here) juice. Oh, don't forget to drink plenty of water, too.

I've actually heard that before too. I saw something written before that it wasn't made for that purpose but that it does help UTI's and as soon as you notice the first symptoms of it then take alka seltzer. That stuff is great...i always take it when my stomach hurts and it's good for other stuff too. Cranberry juice helps clean you urinary tract system too so that helps with UTI's as well. But anyway, i'm not actually sure if its a myth or of it's real. Doesn't hurt to try it though.

No. Try cranberry juice and get cranberry capsules. Those will prevent UTI's and assist in clearing them up but you will need an antibiotic to stop it.

It is probably true as it alters the PH of your body. I also would use Cranacton capsulses as it does the same thing. If really bad see a doctor.

No. Alkaseltzer is just aspirin and citrate (an antacid). It will have no effect on a UTI.
