Are you bored or depressed when you are tempted? If so, you need to do some things to resist temptatiion while you're most vulnurable. Go for a walk, weather permitting. Listen to some good music to take your mind away from the desire to eat. Brush your teeth, and go somewhere where junk food won't be available. Me, I go play on the computer because food is not allowed there.

What are you trying to feed is the first question?
Are you bored?
Are you stressed?
Are you depressed?
Are you anxious?
You know you are not hungry for food, so it could be something else. Assign a new outlet to each of those emotions you are feeling. When you are bored, make a list of things you enjoy doing and do one of those. If you're stressed, take a soothing hot bath or shower. Exercise is also a great idea, even just dancing to your favorite music.
And if nothing fits the bill, try either drinking a glass of ice water or having a small serving of something healthy.

chew gum between meals and make sure you are drinking you alotment of water every day. If you drink a lot of water - you will not only loose weight, but you will also feel fuller and you won't feel like you have room for food.
DON'T SKIP MEALS USING THIS METHOD...just unhealthy snacks. Also, stop buying the junk, buy good for you stuff to snack on. If it isn't there - you can't eat it. Never shop when you are hungry!

If you are tempted to eat when not hungry...you are looking for food to fill some kind of void. You need to figure out WHY you want to eat when you are not hungry...and find a better way to fill that time. Sounds basic and simple, I know, but its just basic psychology.
Find out why you eat...is it for company, celebration, boredom, depression?

keep non-junk food like carrot in a reachable place. or just have water. And lock away ur junk food.
