Ecriver is the French verb for "to write" so that word means the writings of someone.

The accent is backward. It should be 'écrives', and it is the second person singular (i.e., 'tu') form of the verb 'écrire' in the present subjunctive. The indicative form is 'écris'.

Tu écris bien. (You write well.)
Je m'étonne que tu écrives si bien. (I'm surprised that you write so well.)

The accent over the e is going the wrong way.

It means "am writing" J'ecrives un novel. I'm writing a book.

(I'm too lazy to put in the accent.)

Do you mean écrives? That's the "tu" form of "écriver", which is "to write."
