What I aways ate when I was away is
Plain yogurt
raisins
fruit (grapes,melons, strawberries, raspberries)
sunflower seeds
and some times granola
If you put in a insulated lunch bag it will last for hours
veggies and dip now they have non fat sour cream mix it with the dip/salad dressing mixes at the store
they also have fruit cups
V8 counts as 2 veggie servings
They have wide mouth thermoses now I would get one that does not have a glass liner
Chile or stew or soup with crackers or a roll
They now have tuna packs that come with tuna sometimes flavoured and six crackers and also a spoon and napkin
Or if you prefer make your own at home Just wrap this by them selves so they don't get mushy
Or any type of sandwich if it has something that will spoil get one of those lunch bags that are insulated

Try and stop by a grocery store, fruits and veggies are the best way to go if you are out and about. Or buy some granola bars, pack a banana, and a yogurt. If you get one of those soft sided lunch box type things(they sell them everywhere try wallmart). It will keep things cold.

Homemade soups and stews are always good. You can get a special food thermos so your food will stay hot. You can also make sandwiches and keep juice boxes in your freezer. Put the juice box in your lunch box in the morning and in the afternoon it will be thawed out and it will keep your other food cool.

Make sandwiches that don't need cooking.
Like put in chicken slices, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese slices, sauces of your choice can be left in workplace. In drawers, maybe.
Fresh fruits. Juices. too
Bananas are very good . Gives energy too.
Keep cereals in drawers. Add fresh cartons of milk and have.
Also take yogurt.
Eat healthy .
Eggs. Boiled too can be carried.
