I have noticed recently that my cat has a routine in the morning and at night. I go to bed around 10-10:30 and he comes in and lies down in my bed and goes to sleep at around 11:00. Then at 5:00 in the morning, he wakes up and goes downstairs and sleeps on the couch. Then at 6:00 he sits in front of my mom's bedroom door and waits for her to wake up and come out to feed him. My sister says when we are gone, he takes a nap at the same time everyday and he always meets me at the door when i come home! Does anyone elses cat do this? Is it normal?

Yes, they always have their routines all planned out. My cat gets mad at me if I sleep past my first alarm, and will bite my nose until I get up.

Hi - yes my cat follows a similar routine - we usually go to bed late - she knows she will be getting kitty treats before the light goes off - she will lay down in her bed (on my bed) go to sleep, then sometime in the middle of the night - she will go into another room to sleep - in the morning she will wake me up early to feed her her wet food - she greets me at the door whenever I come home - sure it's normal

lol yea well my cats run around the whole house and sleep on couches and then they end up in my bed. At night they come to sleep with us and about 6 am (when they hear my mom get up for work) they wake up and ask for food. Everyday I have to wake up to do this...

LOL you need to be more observant because they most likely have more of a routine than that. They are creatures of habit and mine even have a way they get on the bed. Wing jumps on the bed and always walks to the left to get to the top of the pillows. Minki always goes to the left, then across the pillows and down the right side then lays down. the are funny to watch

Yes, indeed, it is. Kitties are very much creatures of habit. Our kitties have their little napping spots and will come to bed with us when we go.

Cats do what they want, when they want.
My cat and dog seem to go to bed when I do...
Your cat seems normal and healthy be grateful that your kitty isn't sick or psycho...
