I'm looking for more ideas to personalize my wedding. I've looked through wedding magazines already. I was proposed to in a movie theater, and our reception is in a restored old theater, so we're kinda taking that theme and running with it. I know the save the dates will probably look like a movie ticket or something if I can find one. But what about the rest of the decorating and reception? We're having a big band play for the music. Also, I need a good favor idea, right now I'm thinking we'll give little 2 pc. boxes of Godiva chocolates, but I almost want something more personal (like a frame saying thanks for sharing our day, wiht our pic inside). Any thoughts or ideas? Our colors are royal blue and silver. Thanks!

Also, for favors I've thought about a gift certificate to a movie theater in a small amount, at each place setting, so they can go enjoy a movie. What do you think about that?

Custom popcorn would probably be a cool little idea for a Movie Theater themed wedding. Heres a couple of links.

For favors you could create a CD of your favorite or biographical movie soundtrack songs, or songs from movies you have seen together. You can easily and inexpensively print out personalized CD labels and covers, or you can have them professionally done as well.

For a save the date idea, I've seen many couples including those movie theater photo booth-style photos into their STD design; for example, they will take four photos, the first photo they will hold a sign that says "Save," the second they hold a sign that says "The," the third they will hold a sign that says "Date," and the final photo has a sign with the actual date of the wedding. This would be a great touch!

For the wedding favors, you can have a picture of you 2 in a frame along with some free movie tickets in it.

Oh.... you just said that in the additional details. But yeah. I think that would be a good idea.

I found this cute little format you could perhaps add to your little wedding invitation or something.

As a recommendation, I'd say you could make some fantastic favours yourself by getting some craft materials, and maybe adding some sweets. Favours don't need to be extravagent, nor expensive - check out the Tapestry of Delights website for some items and inspiration! A friend of mine, who's a chef, had large cookies made with her guests' names written on them and had the favours coupled up with 'edible' place-cards. This might sound really good, and indeed they were, but she knew very well that once the 'place-cards' had been eaten, the kitchen staff wouldn't have a clue where the vegetarians/special diets were on her tables -- mischievous eh? So don't have edible name-places as favours unless you have another way of denoting your vegatarians!!

I think this sounds amazing. How about having a red carpet for when the guest walk in. Perhaps you can hire someone (ie neighborhood teenager) to take guests photo against a star backdrop and put that in a special frame. I think that that would make a good favor.

I like your ideas of favors. That's really sweet, and if you can afford to do it, it's unique.

Your wedding day is about you. So if your dress isn't a one-of-a-kind, the fact that you are wearing it makes it unique. Without even trying, the day is going to have "you" all over it, because it was designed by and celebrates you and your beloved. Enjoy your day...and the theme sounds really fun.

Ok if you want to do a popcorn favor you should get microwave popcorn boxes use mailing labels and design them yourself at home if you have the prinshop or some kind of designing program for labels. You can put the label on each popcorn bag on the clear wrapper of course so when they do pop the popcorn it isn't stale.

And if you go for the frames this is what i bought on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.com/100-Silver-Placecard-Place-Card-Frames-Wedding-Favors-B_W0QQitemZ180085999958QQihZ008QQcategoryZ102446QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

While people are being seated, and waiting i would suggest playing a projection with pictures of you, and your fiance'. I would start by pictures of when you were both babies, and then toddler age, then school age, teenager years, and so on, and the pics of when you met and all that good stuff. I think that would be a wonderful idea, and people would really be suprised!

Instead of numbering your tables, name them after your favorite romantic movies. Buy some DVD cases, print off the covers to the movies you chose, and stand the cases slightly open on each table.
