I just saw some, and I have to do something, so I may try that. Also, she sometimes wimpers when she eats. I think I've heard that before, is it normal I wonder? Thanx!

Frontline or Advantage from a vet is safe for an 8 week old puppy.
Do NOT use OTC products on ANY dog, especially puppies. They aren't safe.

**** Goldengal, Frontline Plus that is purchased FROM a vet is VERY safe and gentle enough to use on puppies and kittens 8 weeks of age or older without weight restrictions. We sell Frontline plus at the hospital where I work and dispenseit/use it on many, many puppies and kittens.
. Advantage that is purchased FROM a vet is also safe.... With some flea products such as Program, Reveloution, Advantix..it does depend on weight not age and most of them are NOT recommended for pups under 12 weeks of age. OTC products are NOT safe for any dog regardless of weight or age. They cause serious skin burns, neurological issues, seizures and death.********

I just finished a refresher course on fleas/ticks their life cycles and treatments.
If anyone wants more info on Frontline or Advantage simply go to their sites. It has ingredient info, sizes, dosing, etc...the same guidelines your vet uses when dispensing the products.

Advantage is safe for an 8 week old pup (assuming you're using the right dose). Use the Advantage size for dogs the size (in pounds) of your pup. Trust the vet tech.

Excuse me but I am under the impression that it does not matter what the age but the weight of the pup before you use anything on them for fleas. I would not let you touch any of my pups supposed vet tech or not.

Only your vet can tell you what is safe and what is not. All it takes is a phone call.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
