how do you unlock samsung ht-db760 . when i try to switch on it says PROTECTION .

check your a/v connections. There is a possibility of overloaded/wrong connections.

That sounds like the parental lock that is one of the features that comes with some systems. I'm not sure but if you look in the book that came with it, there might be something there about how to unlock it so you can use it.
