you should talk to a school counselor or trusted teacher.. if she is that young and is already attempting to solve her problems with drugs and alcohol the future doesnt look too bright for her. this needs to stop now. she isnt crying because she has numbed her emotions with substances. it is a nasty spiral, i know from experience, and you need to talk to somebody that can help her. you are a good friend for being concerned about her, do the right thing and bring it to the attention of an adult. good luck with your friend.

I was once in a similar situation. Trust me when I say if you are woried about her, I believe you should get more help by talking to her parents. I was worried about a friend and told her parents. She got upset at first, but she realized it wasn't to hurt her, it was to help her. 10 years later we are still best friends. Remember we couldn't be best friends if she wasn't around. Alcohol and pills are not a good mixer. You can die in a blink of an eye. Don't tell your other friends because this is something that she may not want everyone to know, just go to her parents and let them handle this situation. It is to much for you to have on your shoulders alone, get some help.

This kind of ridiculousness happens when you turn drinking into a taboo and a forbidden fruit.
Most civilized countries don't have as widespread of a juvenile drinking problem. Yes more alcohol is consumed per capita, but less binge drinking occurs.

Whatever you do, don't force her into drug rehab or she'll probably become an addict for life. When rehab is full of people who don't want to be there, it becomes a veritable opium den!

She needs relationship/codependence rehab, preferably from friends and family rather than paid, detached, impersonal "professionals"!

Sounds like this guy has made you friend depressed. Be a good friend and help her feel better. Find out a way to get her to stop drinking. Getting drunk only makes things worse.

You have a right to be worried about her. The reason that she isn't crying is because she's trying to drown out her grief with alcohol and she's being a danger to herself. It might be right to tell her parents. They will be able to help.

OK just tell her mom or dad talk to them about how you are worried about her and if she gets mad at you one day maybe one day she will be happy that you told your parents

try to get her to see a school counselor.

it helps out.

look into some kind of support group for her. take her somewhere fun. get her to open up.

maybe you need to have a burning of his stuff to help her move on.
