they won't make you get rid of your dog just because you move. If you are planning on living in an apartment, find out if they allow pets before you buy anything. If you live in your own house then nobody can tell you to get rid of her. Hope it goes well.

Check and see what the local ordinances are. Court house, sheriff's dept, animal control.
