I ask this because this guy in the link (Bryan) here says he puts god above his girlfriend. Do any of you rank god as more important to you than, say your parents, your husband/wife, your lover, your siblings... if you do, tell me why?

This is scary... I don't usually bash the religious but this is nuts. Your family and friends are the most important thing in the world and you put something you've never even seen in front of them. That's actually disturbing.

Absolutely not. Even if I believed in God, why would it be more important then my own flesh and blood?

Yep, God is #1 in my life and all other come after. That does not mean that the love I have for family is not important. But with God and Jesus Christ, the fact that Jesus died for my sins and is my salvation is the most important thing in life. God is the creator of all things of goodness. Why would anyone be placed above God? God also said that we shall have no other gods before Him. Is not love a type of worship?

Yes I do. God is more important than any person in my life. My girlfriend did not die on a cross for me, Jesus did. My sister's blood doesn't cleanse my sins from me, Jesus' does. My parent's coffins are not empty, Jesus' is!
Please don't misunderstand, I love the people in my life dearly, but...
Jesus, the Son of God and God the Son has done it all. How can I NOT put Him above all others?

A girlfriend should be lower in the hierarchy than family, so putting God before a girlfriend should not even be a big issue anyway...

I hope that i do (haven't had much opportunity to prove it though). but they are still quite important, just below the importance of God. This is because mankind is imperfect and not all of mankind tries to reach for God. Many try to pull away from God and want to take me with them, which inevitably leads to my destruction on some level. Clinging to God gives me life, but likewise clinging to my fellow man and trying to bring them into the presence of God (not necessarily by talking to them about God either) not only saves my life but theirs as well. but being i cannot force anyone to do anything then i must be willing to let people go and even leave them should they try and brig me down with them.

Clear as mud?

Yes, God is more important than my parents, friends, boyfriend, work and everything else. Jesus said love God with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your soul. Matthew 22

To me God will always be first, then my family, friends and then all other people.

Because my love for God is so great and I trust him with my life and to take care of my family, friends and other people. As long as i love God, my mind is at ease, knowingthat He will bless them.

Yes, I do. God is my first love. And I will not forsake him b/c he paid for me with more than enough, he paid with his own blood poured out of His son. Of course, you r supposed to love ur family, but it says that if you love sumthing above God/Christ you do not love him.

humorous that. i'm a Christian. i'm particular he did no such aspect. would not advise he wasn't for sure. do basically your self a favour and end making claims you need to help with prices from the e book of Exodus, or poetic flights from the Gospel of John.

i am Muslim

According to what prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
" Nobody among u can believe UNLESS Allah & His prophet (Muhammed) be the most loved above anybody else "

in another words, for Muslims to enter heavens (paradise), they must love Allah & Muhammed more than anybody (or anything) else, even themselves.

Also, Muslims must believe in ALL other prophet BUT our religion is Islam & our main prophet is prophet of Islam (Muhammed)

Without God, there would be no loved ones! It is because of God that we love.
